when i opened the box, i found a list of instructions for a "shower in a box." included were decorations and refreshments, along with lots of wrapped packages. my sister had sent a message to my mom, sisters, sisters-in-law, aunts, and cousins asking them to send a favorite children's story.
mr. pike and i were so happy to receive so many great stories for our baby girl. we both are book lovers - and are excited to share these stories with our children. thank you all for your thoughtfulness -
these are just a sampling of some of our new stories - we did take pictures of us opening all the books but some pictures of me just didn't look very good.

You're sisters have the cutest ideas. Congratulations on baby girl! I loved getting your text and can't wait to hear more about her, as well as see some pictures. I was hoping to talk with you before she was born, but the wedding craziness kept me from calling. Now I'll have to wait my turn :)
