there have been many times i would have loved to have had that super power. a little extra time to finish an assignment for school. a little more time to sleep. and whenever someone asked that theoretical question, "if you could have one super power, what would it be?" -- i'd choose evie's special power. so, freezing time isn't my new super power. (but, it would be so awesome if it was, especially on those sleep deprived nights.)
no, my super power is my new super sonic hearing. mr. pike has always been the light sleeper and me the heavy sleeper. that is -- until baby girl came into our lives. now he is a heavy sleeper, and i -- i have super sonic hearing.
baby girl sleeps in her crib in her room across the hall from our room. even with a window air conditioning unit humming just behind where i sleep, i awake to baby girl's faintest moan or cry. the one caveot to my new super power is that it only works for baby girl -- which is actually a good thing. i hear her plenty throughout the night, that it's nice that nothing else is waking me up.

Jack always gets his hands out of his tight wraps too!
Marilyn...have I not told you about the MUST have snuggle blanket by "kiddopotamous"?!!!!
I swear to this day that it is what made Kason a great sleeper!
My friend introduced it to me and it is a MUST HAVE.
The only place that I have seen them are at Toys R Us or Babies R Us and they only cost $9.99. (I'd say that is the cheapest sanity insurance anyone can buy!!)
Any ?'s!!
P.S. She is so dang cute!
Here is what they look like:

They are only 9.99 in store, and I have both the cotton and the fleece, but I prefer the fleece because they can't stretch it and wiggle their little arms out. When it was hot, I would put him in just a onsie and wrap him up!
I am tellin' ya they are the GREATEST!!
I still have that super power but I remember the first time Ella slept through the night I thought something was wrong with my hearing and I got up anyway because I was SURE my hearing had gone defunct. Go figure she'd just actually slept six straight hours. It was an amazing moment and I wish it for you in the near future:)
I was given this super power, too, when I became a mother. I tell you, it's a blessing and a curse. :)
