during the holidays

while spending time with the family, we headed down to koreatown for lunch. we found a delicious korean bbq restaurant -- soowon galbi. we lunched on bulgogi -- marinated barbecued beef, doenjang jjigae -- bean paste soup, and jap jae -- a noodle dish. what a feast! it was so delicious!

after lunch, we headed over to santee alley in the fashion district. what a place -- you can buy anything from everyone!

i had been to the alley once before and introduced to bacon wrapped hot dogs. so we had to pick one up for mr. pike and his sisters, miss b. and miss a., to try. this one was topped with grilled onions and pico de gallo. what a treat! since we were already full from our korean lunch, we shared the dog among the four of us.
