a shower in a box

i came home from work on wednesday to find a package waiting on our doorstop. i love packages - especially surprise packages. i immediately recognized my sister's handwriting on the box, and wondered what goodies she might have sent.

when i opened the box, i found a list of instructions for a "shower in a box." included were decorations and refreshments, along with lots of wrapped packages. my sister had sent a message to my mom, sisters, sisters-in-law, aunts, and cousins asking them to send a favorite children's story.

mr. pike and i were so happy to receive so many great stories for our baby girl. we both are book lovers - and are excited to share these stories with our children. thank you all for your thoughtfulness -
