i love listening to npr. morning edition. all things considered. but, my favorite is saturday morning. i listen to car talk and then wait, wait . . . don't tell me!
wait, wait takes the week's news and puts it in a humorous, quiz format. peter sagal and carl kasell lead the conversation -- always throwing in a few good impersonations and jokes. the news was never more enjoyable to hear!
well, as part of my christmas present, mr. pike gave me two tickets to see a taping of the show, which is performed in downtown chicago. my sister, miss m., was in town for the show, so we went together.
what an awesome show! they might be giants was their guest! (miss m. and i grew up on their music -- thanks to our brother and are fans!) also, mo rocca was one of the panelists! oh, how i love mo! i think he's so funny.
the show was hilarious. we laughed almost non-stop for two hours! i told mr. pike that we'd have to go together to another taping. it was such a treat! (and i don't mind being considered slightly nerdy for liking a news quiz show. i think it's great entertainment!)
