while mr. pike was at work today, i tidied the den. mostly this means going through the large stack of papers that mysteriously grows each night, until one day when i find the desk is covered in nothing but papers.
today was sort of that day. the papers hadn't grown wildly out of proportion just yet. but i decided to nip it in the bud before things became dangerous.
so i sorted. and shredded. and 15 minutes later, i straightened the smaller leftover pile that will remain on the desk until next time.
just doing that made me feel good. and when mr. pike returns home and says, "what did you do today?" i can tell him of this great accomplishment.
some people may determine accomplishment by the size or difficulty of the task. but, not me. i am glad that i can feel a great sense of accomplishment at finishing (or semi-finishing) even the smallest task.
three cheers for me! hip-hip-HOORAY!

i feel the same way! three cheers for you. i'm so glad we have low expectations of daily tasks to complete...
That's the spirit! You'll go far with an attitude like that...especially when there's miniature Pikes! You go girl!! :)
I think you have the idea, good for you. Let us know if/when you hear back from Dell.
Sounds like you have a pretty sweet life! I don't work, don't clean, don't cook. All I do is gestate. Although, I wish the in-laws would leave so I could take care of the house duties, but I'll just gestate for now.
