we've been trying new recipes the past few weeks, and last night was indian night at the pike home. mr. pike and i made a chicken curry and cauliflower and potato sabzi. both turned out pretty well, but the hit of the night was the naan.
we've been trying new recipes the past few weeks, and last night was indian night at the pike home. mr. pike and i made a chicken curry and cauliflower and potato sabzi. both turned out pretty well, but the hit of the night was the naan.i bought a golden temple's naan bread mix -- so easy to make. and it turned out so delicious! mr. pike and i couldn't get enough of them. i imagine this is what manna tasted like.
we've decided to stock our pantry with these mixes. and i wouldn't be upset if we had to eat naan for 40 years.
what a heavenly thought! (look for them in your grocery store or buy online.)

PIKES! I found you! Hooray. Mrs. Pike, let me introduce myself as I have only met you once and you probably don't remember it because it was forever ago. I am Emily Robertson Morrise. joe and I went to school together for forever, and were always good friends. I love the entire Pike family and we got to be really good friends with Mark and Ali a couple years ago. But I have wondered what the world happened to Mr. Pike. Well here you guys are and I am so happy! First off, you are in Chicago! I love Chicago. Seriously. Best Pizza ever in the whole world I forget the name of the place but I know right where it is.
Oh and good job on the Indian food. We love indian food. I have made curry several times, but never naan, I am definitely going to try that out. I hope you don't mind me reading all your blog, you guys are the cutest. You are welcome to come take a gander at ours. We have two little boys and one on the way. So life gets sort of crazy at this house. Okay I will stop chatting. Take care!

Well, what do you know! It's Joe! How the heck are ya? I'm so happy to have found you (and you can thank the PHS blog for that...) You and the Mrs. look incredibly happy, which is fantastic. I'd wanted to go to your reception (wasn't it last Christmas?) because I was in town at about the same time, but I think we had to head back to NYC a days before. Anyway, here's to blogging and staying in touch!
