i just love fall! especially after this hot and humid summer, i was looking forward to cooler weather. and so far, i haven't been disappointed. there's been plenty of sunshine; cool, crisp weather; fall leaves; and fall treats.on saturday, mr. pike, little girl, and i had our family picture taken. something i've been wanting for months now. thanks to a friend's recommendation, we hired a local photographer, who is extremely talented. and i'm so excited to see what she captured. (we have to wait 2-3 weeks!)
after our session, mr. pike captured this pic of me and little girl. i love it! (i think her hair is turning a little more peach every day!)
tonight for dinner, we tried butternut squash lasagna from prudence pennywise. it was so good, and pretty easy to make (once you've peeled the squash). there's something warming to the soul to eat a yummy fall dish on a chilly day.
i've been collecting pumpkin recipes; we'll get a pie pumpkin this week in our last delivery from the farm. i haven't narrowed down yet what we'll be making. but anything with pumpkin is sure to be good!

That is darling. It shows the sweetness of a mother daughter relationship. Can't wait to see the pics! We love you...happy fall.
She is growing up! I think we just bought that same sweater from gap outlet for Taylor. You will get it 2 seasons in a row!
