we celebrated new year's eve with balmy weather -- little girl and mr. pike didn't even wear coats. we met mr. pike's aunt, uncle, and cousins in the city for a festive new year's celebration. little girl even stayed up until 10:30 p.m. (she's a big partier.)
then we woke up on new year's to a frigid day! we tried to keep little girl as warm as possible as we trekked through the city. but, she wasn't all that thrilled about being bundled up since it kept her from being mobile.
mr. pike and i have made some predictions for 2011 --
- baby pike will be born on cinco de mayo, so mr. pike can finally name a child "juan diego"
- the cubs will make it to the world series but lose in game 6 (mr. pike will cry for days)
- the pikes will make it on their first family camp out, only to head home at 2 a.m. with tired, screaming children (i can't wait for that one!)
- mr. pike will grow the most fantastic mustache that will prevent me from slipping into postpartum depression

I love your predictions! Scott was born on cinco de mayo ( I don't even now if I spelled that correctly - that's how ignorant I am of the Spanish language!) also, little girl is adorable and I love her pigtails!
So cute! So it is going to be a boy? Or a girl named Diego that might hate you later for it?
And can I just say that they word verification word was fart. Kinda embarrassing to write out. . .
