predictions for 2013

mr. pike and i made an extensive list of resolutions last year.  we even broke our goals up into five categories -- physical, spiritual, mental, financial, and emotional.  they were good goals, well organized -- but we didn't come close to accomplishing most of them.  (please don't think any less of us.  we'll try better in 2013.)

i'm planning on adopting my 2012 goals for 2013 and hoping for better results.  so, with the last few hours of 2012, our family decided to come up with predictions for the new year instead of resolutions.  here are a few we'd like to share:


FAMILY PREDICTIONS

• little girl will finally get the pet she's always wanted (and the one mrs. pike's never wanted)
• little boy will not only begin to speak in sentences but also learn how to calculate quadratic equations
• the pikes will buy a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house -- somewhere in the world 
• mrs. pike will finally master painting her fingernails and be able to wait patiently enough for them to dry completely
• mr. pike will beat older brother pike at an arm wrestling contest -- not just once, but twice!
• both little girl and little boy will sleep peacefully all night long for every night of the year!
• mrs. pike will write a best-selling children's book that will finance their new home (please all buy a copy to make this prediction come true!)

OTHER PREDICTIONS

• the fiscal cliff will become an extreme water slide, paid for by all the extra taxes we'll be paying
• puxatony phil won't see his shadow -- hurray for an early (and hopefully long) spring!
• apple unveils the new iball -- a contact lens that allows you to see the world through its map app
