i was a child of the 80s -- that great decade of creativity and design. there were hundreds of the most awesome toys that I never had but wish i had. one doll i especially wanted was playskool's dolly surprise -- you could cut her hair and then crank her arm to grow more.
i thought that was the neatest thing in the world. as an eight year old, it was pretty amazing. i wanted one terribly.
so for the past three months, i've been working on growing out my hair. but it still looks like it did three months ago. and it's driving me crazy! no progress at all.
wouldn't it be wonderful if i had a crank arm, like miss dolly surprise. then i could crank my arm and grow longer hair. then i could change my style at any time. what a fabulous idea! and it would be even better if i could find a dress like hers.

That is hillarious!! When I chopped my hair, I kind of regreted it and that crank arm would have come in handy...If only!!!
OMG!!!! I always wanted that doll!
The best part is that I TOTALLY wanted one too. I saw how awesome it was. Alas, I never had that one either.
