one night over the holidays, while mrs. pike and i were playing with our nephews, we were reminded of the age-old art of making paper airplanes. we had the most fun watching our little nephew, mr. lau, try to fly his plane while sitting on top of my shoulders while i stood on top of a foot stool. the height definitely helped give his plane a few more seconds of flight.
paper airplanes provide fantastic entertainment, competition, and prizes. (i have a friend that won an i-pod in a paper airplane flight contest.)
there are various and sundry paper airplanes, including the flipped-de-flip, looped-de-loop, speeder, lofter, and, my personal favorite, 2fast4u2c (a.k.a. the bullet).

You will have to show me how to create the 2fast4u2c airplane someday!! Brig and Jence love to fly paper airplanes and I am not so great at the folding part. That is so fun!!
(Someday maybe Mark will write a post on our blog...ha ha ha..that will be the day!! He quite writing in his journal after we got engaged! We are working on that! He says that he is just going to put in his journal..."see Ali's journal for details!"
So good job Joe for keeping up the family journal!! I am very proud of you!
Joe i am thrilled to see someone else have a love for paper airplanes, Benny begs Zac all day to make him another paper airplane, Zac is very good at it, I on the other hand well let's just say Benny doesn't bother asking me anymore. I found a great "Klutz" paper airplane book maybe it would help Allie too. Love the blog. Congrats with the little sister. We love you all, Mandy Haws
My younger brother, Andrew, is all about paper airplanes, as am I. They provide quality fun with a tiny investment. Throwing them with that height advantage must have been a thrill for mr. lau!
