when i was a little girl, i loved to imagine and play house. i dreamed of having a play house and play kitchen of my own.
so when mr. pike and i were brainstorming gifts for little girl, a play kitchen was on the top of my list.
and it seemed like the fates aligned when i saw this cute kitchen on sale at target one day. (mr. pike was out of town on business, so i decided to make the executive decision and get it.)
i also thought it a good idea to put it all together before mr. pike came home . . . with little girl's help. (that wasn't the best idea. a toddler doesn't make the best handyman assistant.)
but, i'm hoping between the two of us that at least one of our childhood dreams is being fulfilled. (i sure like this little kitchen, but now i want a real one in a home of my own. isn't it terrible how our sights get bigger and more expensive.)

What a darling little play kitchen! If we had room in our apartment, I'd be more inclined to get one. Sigh. Someday. Have you seen the Ikea kitchen? It's pretty cute, too. A friend of ours has that one, and my boys love to play with it whenever we go over.
Merry Christmas Pikes! It seems like great minds think alike. I made my girls a play kitchen this Christmas also. I have a random question. Where did you get your wedding dress? My soon to be sis-in-law wants one that sounds just like yours. I remember because it was so beautiful. E-mail me if you remember.
Thanks!

This is such a cute kitchen! We got our little Miss a kitchen last year when she was close to your little one's age. She has loved it all year long and pretends to cook and play on it. I love for a kitchen of my own too. We can dream together M. It was so nice seeing you the other week. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
