a belated halloween!

happy halloween! we know we're a few days late in sending our spookiest, ghoulish greetings.  and we're sorry about that.

i love the idea of halloween.  i love thinking of costume ideas and becoming someone or something different for a night.  

it's especially fun to choose a costume for the kids -- like little boy as nacho libre.  (we tried to pack some pounds on his gut but his little ribs still poke through.  mr. pike thought little boy might have made a better esqueleto.  but i liked the idea of stretchy pants too much!  hand-dyed by me.)

or make a reality little girl's costume wish.  if you're going to have once costume, you might as well have three, right?!

but while i love halloween, i really have a hard time spending too much time and money for one day.  and so, mr. pike and i opted out of halloween this year.  (and i had a great idea for mr. pike -- dj lance rock.  i think he would have looked awesome in an orange jumpsuit!) 

maybe if we're all lucky, mr. pike will get a second chance as dj lance.  until then, happy, happy halloween!
